After 3 classes per student/family there will be a
5% discount on the total tuition.
Enrollment Fee:
The fee is $30 before May 11 and $35 after. There are many classes that fill fast and this will guarantee your place. This fee is non-refundable.
Costume fees:
The fee is $60 and is due by Nov. 15th. If your account is not current by December 1st, your costumes will not be ordered and you run the risk of not having it at recital.
Recital Fee:
$30 per student due by November 1st. This fee guarantees you 4 tickets to the recital in May. Additional tickets will be available for purchase the week before recital.
Class Details
Class: Ballet
Instructor: Shannon Crites, Annie Harlow, Emily Orr
Ages: 4 years and up
Description: Students will train in the Cecchetti method. They will learn basic ballet technique and terminology. Students should wear pink or black tights with a solid colored leotard. Pink ballet shoes are required. Hair should be in a bun or braid. Men should wear black shorts with black ballet shoes.
Class: Jazz
Instructor: Michelle McGee, Annie Harlow
Ages: Kindergarten and up
Description: Students will learn basic jumps, turns and jazz technique. Students should wear tights, dance pants, booty shorts, leotards or crop tops. No baggy pants or shirts will be allowed. Tan jazz shoes. Hair should be pulled back away from face.
Class: Pointe & Pre-Pointe
Instructor: Shannon Crites
Ages: 5th grade and up w/ Miss Shannon’s Permission
Description: Pointe is a more difficult degree of ballet. Students must attend regular ballet classes to enroll in pointe. They should wear pink or black tights with a solid colored leotard. Pointe shoes must be worn in every class. Hair should be in a bun or braid.
Class: Lyrical
Instructor: Emily Orr
Ages: 2nd – 7th Grades (Must also be enrolled in Ballet)
Description: Lyrical is a form of dance meant to interpret the lyrics of the music. Students will use a mixture of ballet, modern and jazz techniques. Students should wear tights, booty shorts, leotards or crop tops. No dance pants or baggy pants. No T-shirts. Lyrical sandals should be worn in this class. NO BARE FEET. Hair should be pulled back away from face.
Class: Contemporary
Instructor: Michelle McGee
Ages: 8th grade and up (Must also be enrolled in Ballet & Jazz)
Description: This new form of dance takes many of the different classical modern dance techniques and gives them a new up to date twist. This form of dance takes a great deal of control and strength. Students will learn to control balance, partner with each other and many turns and jumps.
Class: Preemies
Instructor: Annie Harlow, Emily Orr
Ages: 2 1/2 to 4 years - must be potty trained
Description: This is a basic movement through ballet technique. Students should wear tights and leotard with pink ballet shoes. Hair should be pulled away from face. These students will not perform in the recital.
Class: Tap
Instructor: Michelle McGee, Annie Harlow, Emily Orr
Ages: 4 years and up
Description: Students will learn basic tap technique and terminology. They will learn time steps and new styles such as hoofing. Students may wear their choice of dance clothes. NO T-shirts or shorts. Black tap shoes.
Class: Hip Hop
Instructor: Michelle McGee
Ages: 1st grade and up
Description: In this class students will learn "pop hop", some break dancing and other basic street dance. Rap and Hip Hop music will be played in this class. Students may wear baggy clothes or dance clothes. Tennis shoes should be worn. Hair should be pulled away from face.
Class: Boys Hip Hop

Ages: 2nd grade and up
Description: By separating the boys in this class they may learn some tricks that girls are not physically capable of doing. Same dress code as above.
Class: Turns & Jumps

Ages: 1st grade and up
Description: We created this class so that students may focus on the “tricks” that they see on so many dance shows. The class is dedicated to learning all the “fun stuff”. This class will meet for an 8 week session in the Fall only. It will be a onetime fee of $90 for the class. This class will not perform in recital and does not carry a costume fee.
Class: Pre-Company

Ages: Kindergarten thru 3rd grade (Audition Required)
Description: This is a great way introduce younger students to Company without the full commitment. The students in this class will perform in the Debbie Collins Showcase, Recital and 2 competitions. Students in this class must be enrolled in Ballet and Jazz as well as Company Ballet.
Class: Company & Elite Company

Ages: 1st grade and up (Audition Required)
Description: The SCD Company is a great and fun way for our students to perform more than once a year. They perform in the Debbie Collins Showcase, attend numerous competitions and conventions throughout the year, as well as travel to NYC and L.A. in the summers to train with the nation's top instructors. Company & Elite Company members must be enrolled in Ballet, Jazz & Company Ballet.
